Non-Academic networking

The PhD program in Business and Management stands as a University-Corporate meeting point, with the firepower to become a state-of-the-art melting pot for theoretical development and implementation of executive choices.

The program is conducted in close cooperation with companies of all sizes and forms, whether private, public or third sector.

The corporate involvement occurs in planning the activity, promoting PhD scholarships (e.g. 5 in the last cycle) and providing professional opportunities.

The training aims to promote a range of skills, such as intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, desire for confrontation, and a well-rounded scientific mindset, reinforced by an awareness of the ethical implications of research work. The Ph.D student will be able to develop robust and specific skills on qualitative and/or quantitative research techniques.
The preparation allows the Ph.D student to work on the most cutting-edge research topics, conceiving, designing, implementing and adapting innovative and international research projects independently.

The Ph.D students will be trained in an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary context. They will be asked to apply academic knowledge in non-academic fields such as manufacturing companies, service companies and public administration.

During the digital transformation and thanks to a multisectoral and interdisciplinary preparation, they will also be able to play key roles in the field of Industry 4.0 and Big data, in addition to the more traditional ones typical of the PhD program.
In addition, relations with the external context are aligned with the goals of the Piano Nazionale di Ripresa e Resilienza (PNRR).
