Study program

The study plan includes a series of academic discipline and interdisciplinary activities. Upon terminating the education cycle, the Doctor of Business and Management will boast a multi-subject formation, enriched with a series of language, IT, statistical-mathematical, and soft skills, which will increase employment opportunities  both in the academic and the corporate fields.

Training activity in accordance with Art. 4, clause 1, paragraph (f) of Ministerial Decree n.45/2013 is described as follows:

Examination of English knowledge level (minimum: B2) by the CLA (university language office) for all PhD students in year 1

IT development activity (courses for advanced use of Excel, Access, data mining, econometric modelling software); Formation concerning the use of databases, especially at a national and international level, available at the School of Management and Economics library

Research management, knowledge of research systems and funding systems

Lessons concerning specific themes will be provided (European calls for proposals for mobility of young researchers; A researcher’s cv: from theory to practice;From an idea to a project: how to write a successful proposal for an international research grant; Network building to increase possibilities of international funding; Project management: from budget setting to management guidelines) 

Promotion of the research results and of intellectual property

Steps for the awareness and improvement of company building ability (lessons on intellectual property protection, applying for a patent, and promoting the patent record of university professors/researchers; creation of innovative enterprises, spin-offs etc.)

Cooperation with other Institutions and research centres includes both doctoral candidate exchange and professor exchange, for the purpose of research activity resulting in internationally relevant publications concerning the wide spectrum of management and business administration topics.
